Just a quick note to let you know that on December 16-18, the second "Clinic in Amiens" will take place with some of the finest speakers in football. This offers a great opportunity for coaches to learn and to benefit from and network with other coaches from throughout Europe.

Sponsored by the Amiens Spartiates and the French Federation of American Football with partners such as USA Football and EFAF, the clinic will attract more than 100 coaches from all over Europe. This year's clinic will feature an amazing lineup of speakers from every level of football including the NFL, NFL Europe, the NCAA and US high school.

Heading up the staff is Jim Criner whose name is familiar to anyone in football throughout the United States, France and Europe. Coach Criner has coached the Amiens Spartiates and the Aix-en Provence Argonautes in France. He was the head coach at Boise State and Iowa State as well as the Scottish Claymores in NFL Europe. He coached the Las Vegas Outlaws in the XFL and has worked as a scout for a number of NFL teams and currently serves as a consultant for a range of university programs.

He is joined by Jim Elam who has brought his defensive genius to schools such as Rice, West Texas State, Baylor and Houston. He was on the coaching staff of the winning team for the Division 2 All-Star game, the Cactus Bowl.

Gene Dahlquist was the offensive coordinator of the Texas Longhorns as well as Texas State, Iowa State and the University of Illinois. From 2001 to 2003 he was head coach of the Scottish Claymores and most recently served as offensive consultant for the University of Nevada.

Lynn Stiles was the head football coach at the San Jose State University from 1976 to 1978, compiling a record of 18-16. Stiles later served as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia Eagles , San Francisco 49ers and the St. Louis Rams. He has three Super Bowl rings, two with the 49ers and one with St. Louis. From 1992 to 2006, he served in the front office for the Kansas City Chiefs as vice president of player personnel and also served in the same capacity with the Rams.

Coach Gary Griffin has been coaching for more than 30 years. He has helped develop players and teams at all levels from high school to the NCAA. Generally acknowledged as on the of finest high school coaches in the state of Texas, Gary coached the defensive line in the 2011 Cactus Bowl and will return in 2012.
