If you think you can or you think you can’t—you’re right!
First you must want to be the best—want it more than your competition.

Make your preparation a disciplined routine (physical, mental, physiological and spiritual)
Anticipate, visualize vividly and include every detail necessary for perfection.
Pursue Excellence—not Happiness.
Learn to sacrifice when needed and be willing to pay the price for success.
Don’t act like America’s guest--the world owes you nothing.
Don’t be a “clock watcher” or one who always looks for short cuts or the easy way.
Learn to give a distinctive and superb effort.
Tell the truth and be known for your honesty.
Keep your word.
Display integrity to the “Nth” degree.
Never get too big for your own britches.
Trust in God. (Allow him to direct your paths)
Never forget your family or friends and always be loyal to them.
Watch your thoughts, words, actions, habits and character-they become your destiny.
Admit it when you are wrong--then get a plan and do something about it.
Nothing improves or changes until you are willing to admit a fault- –that’s a “Learning Attitude”
The next best thing to being innocent of a fault is to freely admit it.
Be “coachable”.
Work through it, stand up to it; overcome any adversity-stay out of the fetal position.
Adversity doesn’t build character—it reveals it.
Be moderate in your behavior, act with intelligence and be intense when it’s required.
Don’t try to function without proper emotions and enthusiasm.
You can accomplish a lot if you don’t care who gets the credit—that’s teamwork.
Never give up; think of the doctor who gave up after “Preparation G”!
You cannot propel yourself forward by patting yourself on the back.
